New: A-Z airport picker and result filters on top

dohop now offers two different modes for picking your From and To airports. One is keyboard based, the other uses point and click. The keyboard mode usually requires only three letters before it presents a list of matching airports. The mouse method (selected by clicking on A-Z on top of the airport pickers) requires the user to drill down through continent/country/city/airport lists.

The other visible change introduced in todays release is that the filter bar is now placed on top of search results rather than on the left margin. This way we can save space when filters are not in use. The filter bar can be expanded and closed again by clicking on it.

Filters are most useful when there are very many results to choose from. Use the filters to hide flights that leave too early or late for you. The time sliders are the most popular filters see screenshot below.

1. When I wanted to select the departure airport, I met the name “Byzantum” or something similar with an international airport code (IST)
   What is Byzantum? What does the int. airport code “IST” stand for? It doesn’t look like an abbreviation of “Byzantum”?
   Is the content of the web site such as flight numbers, airports etc. updated or based onto the 15th century??
